Hello All,

New to the group and in need of assistance. I have and VM setup running linux on a Win 7 64bit host system. The net config for the VirtualBox machine is Host-Only with a bridge connection to the onboard nic. I included the VirtualBox Ethernet adapter information below but had a question of whether the default gateway should be left blank?

That is OK. A default gateway is only needed if the interface needs to contact other machines in a different IP subnet. The host only adapter does not do this. It is only used for traffic between the host and the guest using their 192.168.56.x IP addresses.
