Hi,
I am using VirtualBox V5.0.4. I have install Ubuntu 14.04 as a guest machine, my host machine is also Ubuntu 14.04.
I was able to access guest machine fine, but after I change MAC address of eth0 of guest machine I am not able to access guest machine.
Can anyone help me here??

Re: Linux guest is not accessible after MAC change of guest
Change it back to what it was. The old MAC address may be in the .vbox-prev file in the VM folder.
If not, re-registering the guest might work. Remove it from the VirtualBox Manager but "Keep All Files", then re-add the VM.
Just a bit of advice: Don't change something without knowing the consequences or at least having a backup.

Or you can do this, edit the guests /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules or you can delete the rules and Linux will configure it on the next boot

I thought there must be a way to modify the guest. I just had no clue what it was.
