Irritatingly there doesn't seem to be any easy way to prevent updates from downloading, although googling finds a couple of methods.

There are a number of things that are irritating about Windows 10 and what Microsoft has been doing. One in particular are the broken cumulative updates they've been releasing. Lucky for moi, Windows is not my OS of choice. I have it only to hopefully help others who suffer with it.
