I work from home and my host is connected through a work VPN.
Is there any way when I setup my VM on my host to run ubuntu, i can get the VM to have internet access??
I need to be able to use ubuntu so i can build roms for android
Host on VPN, VM cant connect to internet

Probably not. It really depends on the NIC in the host and the VPN software you are using, but usually the VPN will take over the connection.
Some VPN clients allow you the option to allow Internet access directly (rather than through the VPN), some don't.
