Windows 8.1 - VM Ubunto "Critical Error"

Post by MadMikeMorrison »

I am running:
Windows 8.1 64bit OS, x64-based processor
Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz

VirtualBox 5.0.10 r104061 - I have not installed the Guest Additions
Ubuntu with Linux 3.8.0-32-generic

When I run Ubunto I get "A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped".

Log file is attached.

Thanks you.

According to the log…
00:00:01.305280 Guest OS type: 'Windows8_64'
that should be Ubuntu-(64bit) assuming you are running Ubuntu. Use the Ubuntu template.
00:00:01.537987 RamSize <integer> = 0x0000000000a00000 (10 485 760, 10 MB)
Ubuntu isn't going to run with 10MB of RAM

fix those first.
OSX, Linux and Windows Hosts & Guests
There are three groups of people. Those that can count and those that can't.
