Depreciated Audio Warning

Post by DaveRogers »

2015-12-07 08:41:07.275 VBoxHeadless[10790:17959132] 08:41:07.275 WARNING: 140: This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units. Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.
Getting this when I start a VM in headless mode. I haven't found anything via Google about how to rectify this with Virtualbox, but other projects say that it's a developer warning so there may not be anything I can do; I figured it'd be worth asking about though, if anyone has an idea for me :) I'm on a brand new Macbook Pro - latest OS X, Java 8, Virtual Box 5.0.10.

As a guess, it is something the VirtualBox developers would need to address. You should file a problem ticket on Bugtracker with the appropriate information and logs.

Next time you quote a OSX Console message, you may want to mention that fact. :)
