new windows user after virtualbox session

i created a new KNOPPIX system in Virtualbox. Runs perfect. So i tested a little bit around and started Wine in Knoppix . Wine shows you the path to windows programs. I was satisfied with that and ended the session.

Right after that i restarted my PC and found a new admin User with the name Test. I did not creat this one and wondered who did.

i see two possibilities:

a) i got hacked via either via Virtualbox/Knoppix, or by another way.
b) Knoppix Wine created a Windows User in order to access windows progs. I did not find any documentation about that.

any ideas friends ?

Something is missing. Wine running on a guest cannot point to programs on the host unless you set up shared or network folders.

The mention of WINE was just a distraction. It is a program that can run certain Windows programs on Linux or OSX without having to install Windows.

So, back to the mysterious new Admin user on the host. IMHO, one of two things is possible…
1. You created the account and forgot.
2. Your PC is haunted.

ok, possibilities:

1. there was no bottle of whisky involved! I thought i would find something about in the event log, nothing found!!??.

2. i guess so. So, i checked my mbr, formatted my ssd and reinstalled windows and everything, using new passwords.

i should be save now.

i would like to know the trick, how someone can be hacked this way.

thansk

me too. I don't think it's possible.
