I have been using this vm Windows Vista guest. Now I cannot open VirtualBox at all. I get the error in the title. I found the following post for the same message on a Windows Host:
from: Achim Hasenmueller
We don't know yet what causes this, but it's an installation error that
happens on some Vista systems. To fix it:
1) Open a standard command line (not as administrator)
2) "cd C:\Program Files\InnoTek VirtualBox"
3) issue "VBoxSVC /ReRegServer"
4) issue regsvr32 VBoxC.dll
Then it will work.
When I attempt to run these commands I get 'command not found'.
Any ideas?

Did I understand you right that your host is openSUSE and your guest is Vista? In that your fix wouldn't help as this is only meant for VirtualBox on Windows hosts (and this problem should not happen anymore with recent versions).
At first make sure that you download the current version 1.6.2 for your openSUSE distribution. Install that package and check if the problem disappeared. If not, please open a bug report at http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Bugtracker and we will give your further instructions.
