Can't Access Files in Shared Folders

Hi all -- I have a windows 7 pro host running VirtualBox 5.0.10 on which I have a CentOS 7 guest running. I've installed/configured Guest Additions, have a shared folder on my Win 7 host, have configured/mounted the shared folder on the guest and have setup my guest user account in the vboxsf group. I can now access the shared folder but I can't see any Win 7 files resident in it nor can my host see files I copy into it by the guest. What am I missing?? Thanks.

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

I'm curious as to in what sense you believe that attachment bears any resemblance to what Perry asked for? ISTM his instructions were quite simple and clear.

Mpack, I apologize for my mistaken ASSumption that Perry was referring to the log directory on my CentOS VirtualBox guest. I'm not that familiar with VB and in looking at the \program files\oracle\VirtualBox folder on my Windows host I wasn't able to readily identify a log file associated to VB. I'd be grateful if you can guide me to the correct file.

With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

You need to ask for assistance on the Windows host section to take care of the above issues. From what I know it has to do with an update from MS that messes up the certificate store.

The above shows that the share was in fact made by VirtualBox.
Now start the guest and open a terminal and type
id and post the results here.

The hardening issues don't seem to be very important: the VM continued for 50 minutes after the listed errors. Some DLLs got turfed out yes, but it doesn't seem to have had any ill effects.

As far as VirtualBox sees things your shared folders should work. I hate to disagree with my esteemed colleague but I would see about fixing the WinTrust errors and see if that resolves your issue.
That said I am by no means a Windows expert so I will leave this topic now.
