Error 0xc0000225 with host Windows 10, loading XP

I am a newbie......

I loaded Virtual Box 5.0.10 on a Windows 10 machine and installed Windows XP. During the session when I installed it, all worked well. When I tried to restart the computer, I got the message: Error Code 0xc0000225.

On the Windows 7 discussion, there was a discussion about changing chipsets, but I have no clue how to do this. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I am desperate to run some programs that only run under XP and Windows 10 not longer has an virtual environment for XP

Which "computer" are you referring to? There are at least two in your immediate vicinity. Do you mean the VM?

If so please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Forget about changing chip sets. If that had been a problem the VM would not have started even once. The only reason to change chipsets is if the new chipset has features the VM needs, and generally you'd have to create a new VM: Windows installations typically don't like having the (virtual) motherboard change radically between boots.

Mpack,

Right now, I can't even get the computer to start due to that error so I can't get you the log information. Hopefully our computer guy can get it running again and I will send it......
