Getting 32-bit drivers to work on 64-bit Windows 10

Hello!

My father wanted to use our old scanner with his new laptop, but couldn't get it to work because he has 64-bit Windows 10 installed and drivers are only available for 32-bit systems.
So I wondered if installing 32-bit Windows XP in a VirtualBox might solve this problem.
I've never used a virtual machine before, but I've heard that they can be very useful, so I thought that this would probably be the way to go.

It's certainly possible to install XP as a guest assuming you have an XP install CD or .iso. Whether the scanner will work can only be answered by trying it. Of course the drivers and software for the scanner would have to be installed in the guest.

Hm, so it's theoretically possible, huh? Guess I will just tell him to try it, then.

I can say with 100% certainty it may or may not work. :)
