Quick question about Machine Folder
I'm a bit new to VM's, but is the Machine Folder shared with the host?

Re: Quick question about Machine Folder
The machine folder is on the host, and isn't shared with the guest. The machine folder is the default folder on your host where the VirtualBox host software creates new VMs.
Do you mean something else? If you are asking whether a VM uses files on the host drive - no it doesn't, in fact the VM doesn't even know the host is there (until you tell it). The VM writes to simulated drives, which are implement as single files (one per virtual drive) on the host.
The VM can however access files in designated shared folders on the host, if you designate any.
