Mouse movement in and out of vm w/o desktop s/w installed

I used to install or still installing GNOME desktop in my centos virtual box just because of getting my drag and drop working. Is there any other way I can achieve this without installing desktop software which is installed only for getting drag and drop working.

Drag n drop requires Guest Additions, and Guest Additions requires a desktop, I think.
