3d Acceleration breaks IE11 on Windows 7

After updating to VB 5.0.10, I am finding that Internet Explorer 11 will not work correctly if I have 3d acceleration enabled. I'm seeing colored blocks displayed for most of the webpage elements.
On my prior release, 4.3.30, I'm pretty certain that it was working (I'm pretty sure I used IE with 3d acceleration enabled.) Anyway I have verified that I have 256 MB video memory and have correctly installed the Guest Additions for this version with 3d Acceleration enabled. Aero seems to be working otherwise. When I turn off 3D acceleration in Settings IE works. If I change Windows personalize setting to Windows Basic, IE11 is still broken.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks,
