My VMs were working perfectly. Then I upgraded VirtualBox from 4.3.30 to 5.0.10. Now I can not browse to any website. I can get a valid reply with ping, tracert to external sites. Ipconfig /all looks ok, I have a valid IP, gateway, and other config for my network.
I have done the following:
1. disabled firewall
2. disabled anti-virus
3. reset network with netsh int ip reset
4. disable and enabled network interface.
My host is Windows 7 x64, sp1
Guest is Windows 7 x64, sp1.
I have installed the guest additions and extension pack for 5.0.10. I am using Bridged networking.
What am I missing? How can I troubleshoot and fix this?
Thanks,
John

Re: Ping works but can't browse
Test build 104375 (with filename VirtualBox-5.0.51-104375-Win.exe) solved the issue with bridged networking for me. See Ticket #14578 ("Unable to select network adaptor that has TCP/IP disabled.") for details.

Re: Ping works but can't browse
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure this is the same problem I have because I'm not disabling TCP/IP on the host. But I found the problem. I was unable to connect while I had two specific VM started. Turns out one is a clone and, silly me, I forgot to change the MAC address. Once I did that, all seem well.
