Re: rdesktop-vrdp client - where is it?
VirtualBox does not supply the actual client. If you use Linux you install rdesktop if it is not already installed and if you use Windows you use the remote desktop client that comes with it.

On Linux rdesktop-vrdp is a part of VirtualBox. It is in /usr/bin on my RHEL 6.7

FWIW, rdesktop-vrdp is not installed in Fedora 23. The only one I've looked at so far.
OSX, Linux and Windows Hosts & Guests
There are three groups of people. Those that can count and those that can't.

Very true but is that a client or the server?Martin wrote:On Linux rdesktop-vrdp is a part of VirtualBox. It is in /usr/bin on my RHEL 6.7
Re: rdesktop-vrdp client - where is it?
manual:
Accessing remote USB devices is only possible if the RDP client supports this extension.
On Linux and Solaris hosts, the VirtualBox installation provides a suitable VRDP client called
rdesktop-vrdp.
Thats confusing. Why does the Installation provides the client? if it provides it anyway.
Running a windows host and accessing a windows guest via a remote client, that has to be linux client with vrdp should work.
So a full VBox Installation is needed only for the vrdp client?

Re: rdesktop-vrdp client - where is it?
I found an issue that was causing the rdesktop-vrdp to not build on my setup and it now produces the client and works as advertised.
Now what does the following produce from the hosts terminal/command windows?
