Bug and Reboot System in VM Virtual Box.

Post by kayode12 »

Hi,

I am new to using Virtual Box. I installed Linux, SQL plus and SQL Developer on my PC and everything was working perfectly. Only for the Virtual Box to start acting funny few days ago, it refuse to reload and boot without no error message.
I deleted the user and installed a new one but when the Linux Enterprise is about to complete installation, it tell me a Bug in my Anaconda that I need to Debug. If I click on ok it takes me to a reboot section where is request for a command to rebooot. I typed in Reboot but the screen remains as it is. If I click on Debug , it takes me to another screen asking Pbd (?).

Can someone please help me out on what to do.
:(

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

Please attach logs, do not paste them - which leads to them being truncated due to the message size limit. Note the "Upload attachment" tab below the text box when you compose a message. If you zip the text then you can also be sure that the attachment will be accepted.

Code: Select all

00:00:05.251732 VMMDev: Guest Log: BIOS: Booting from CD-ROM...
01:01:48.677940 AHCI#0P0: Write request was active for 30 seconds
Have you rebooted the host and then before you start any other program tried to do your install?

I typed ''REBOOT'' but nothing happened. I had to shut it down and start all over again but I still got stuck at the same point with same message.

You have a Windows host. Just reboot it. I am not talking about the guest here.

The log shows a huge lag in the hosts hard drive. All I can tell you is there is something either wrong with the drive, you are running a program that is extremely disk intensive on the host, or the guest has a real problem. All indications at this time are this has nothing to do with VirtualBox.
