DiagBox 8.xx fails to install on VirtualBox 5.xx

DiagBox v8.01 (Peugeot Citroen Application) fails to install properly on VirtualBox V5.xx running any X86 Windows operating system, it stalls in the last stage before closing the installation process and starting the application.
However, Diagbox v7.xx installs properly, and both DiagBox v8.xx and 7.xx install properly on all versions of VMware Workstation and player.
Install VirtualBox 5.10, then install Windows XP or 7 or 8 (32 bit only, English US configuration), mount the downloaded ISO and install in English.

Windows is Windows. Being installed on virtual hardware doesn't really have much relevance to how programs runs on the installed OS. I suggest that you contact Peugeot Citroen about this, as we have no way to know why some random third party program will or won't run in a given scenario.
VMWare and VirtualBox are not claimed to be clones of each other. The fact that software might run on one or not the other does not by itself imply a bug, it only implies that said program is sensitive to whatever the difference is. For example, you may have neglected to install USB support on one. And this is ignoring the fact that we only have your word that the VM is set up correctly, as I see no logs here as evidence.
Providing a VM log: With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip to your message.

Thanks mpack,
I installed the very latest VirtualBox VirtualBox-5.0.11-104101 with Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-5.0.11-104084 and VBoxGuestAdditions_5.0.11-104084, but I am still getting the same problem. I have attached the log file as requested.
the installation usually work regardless of the USB device being connected. However, I have tried the installation with the USB device plugged-in and unplugged with the same result.
May I also add (this issue does not trouble me) that previously I used to add the particular USB device in earlier VirtualBox releases, by plugging the USB device then clicking on:
+ "Add new USB filter with all fields set to the values of the selected USB device attached to the host PC".
and choosing the specific device to add, this now does NOT lead to the device being sensed, hence, not recognised.
But, now clicking on:
. "Add new USB filter with all fields initially set to empty strings. Note that such a filter will match any attached USB device".
allows Windows to sense and recognise the device.
Regards.

Installing a test build of VirtualBox is not IMHO a good idea, unless you have a very good reason. Test versions are designed for testing - they can be buggy.
I see you have some kind of security problem with "FileSyncShell64.dll", but I doubt this has any bearing on your original problem.
Nothing else in the log stands out to me. The fact remains that only Peugeot can easily tell you what their application doesn't like about this environment.

As I said before, I already tried it on few VirtualBox releases, I installed the latest in case the issue was already resolved.
PSA recommends that DiagBox software is installed directly on Windows 32 bit only which is directly installed on the laptop with IDE controller, and that works well already.. Also, VMware works with no problem.. But this version (DiagBox 8.xx) which is linked above, freezes before closing the installation process and starting the application.
The file "FileSyncShell64.dll" is linked to OneDrive, I disabled it, but to no avail..
However, I thought being a developer, you might wish to check this issue and see if it is related to VirtualBox, hence the link... May I also add that it fails to finish the installation on VirtualBox 4.3.12 running Windows XP 32 bit as well.
Thanks any way.
