Save in Veracrypt Advice Needed

Hello, Im new to virtualbox or any VM's, I followed a guide I seen online about how to install virtual box in true/veracrypt partition.

I have a mac and put windows on virtualbox, each I saved all files to vera volume, the main virtual box icon in my applications I have to drag into the volume, however when I click on it to open it up says try re-installing virtualbox and permission denied, any suggestions?

I must add it is fine if I click my my applications folder, its just when I click on it from the veracrypt volume is the problem?

We're not a VeraCrypt forum. It's something you would have to ask the developers of VeraCrypt.

There's also the issue of whether you followed the tutorial correctly and whether the tutorial is correct etc.

BTW, VirtualBox has to remain in the Applications folder.

no problem. VMs can be where you like but not the VirtualBox application.

Great it's all set up fine then, will keep the Windows file in the volume and virtualbox in applications. The guide I followed said move the virtualbox into volume also which is I couldn't figure out why I was getting the error message.

I'm surprised the tutorial would say that. It may have meant move the VM folder to the volume. Glad it's working for you. Personally I don't encrypt anything.

VirtualBox itself now has encryption btw.

Damn I didn't know that, if I known that before I wouldn't of installed the veracrypt!

Ok nothing to do with veracrypt anymore but perhaps you can help, I downloaded a few things on Windows, anti virus and some label software for my work however download didn't complete and virtual box paused and error message came up something about space off the top of my head. Do you know where I could of gone wrong when installing, should I of set up more space somewhere?

Sorry this is first time using a virtual machine, so not too sure, the software I wanted was only available on Windows!
