I was researching a problem for another user and discovered installing Apple iTunes et al slowed my Windows 7 guest to a crawl. Removing it restored its normally snappy behavior.
Just a heads up.
Edit: it may be because iCloud was installed.

I am using Windows 10 guest. Previous was Windows 7 professional and this change is to improve the performance of the system. But, the previous version is not working with the current windows version.

You should check the Windows tasklist to see who the CPU or I/O resource hogs are.
@Rosematters - I'm not sure what relevance your comment has here.
p.s. A more precise mention of VirtualBox versions probably wouldn't go amiss.

Don, you're correct, I should have checked but running multiple platforms on multiple PCs with multiple guests has made me less inclined to check every issue that crops up. However, I'll reinstall the Apple Software in question at some point and see what's what.
