Hi,

I am running Ubuntu 14.04 guest on a Windows 8 host using the latest version of VirtualBox (5.0.10), and am unable to get the clipboard to work from the Ubuntu VM to my Windows host.
Here's what I did:
- Installed VBoxAdditions on Ubuntu
- Installed the extension pack on my Windows machine (not sure if it's actually needed)
- Set bi-directional keyboard in the settings

Copying text from Windows to Ubuntu - Works.
Shared folder - Works.
Copying text from Ubuntu to Windows - doesn't work.

I am really at a loss here and not sure where the problem may lie.. does anyone know what may cause the clipboard to not work from the Linux guest to the Windows host (even though it works the other way around)?

Ok, so turns out I was wrong :-)

When copying text from visual editors in Ubuntu (such as gedit) to Windows, it works perfectly fine. But it doesn't work from terminal or from vim?
