Windows 3.1 crashes when win32s freecell is loaded.
I believe this is a virtualbox bug, When 32 bit file and disk access is enabled under windows 3.1 and when you have win32s installed and if you run the freecell game , freecell crashes with an error, and also freezes windows 3.1. If i use vmware workstation 12 software and i have 32 bit disk and file access enabled, the freecell program runs fine. If this isn't a bug does anyone know how to fix this under virtualbox?\
update- its the latest version of virtualbox, its ms-dos 6.22, and it should be the last version of win32s which is 1.3c

Well, you told us the version of VMware, but not VirtualBox. There's also no mention of the version of Win32s, DOS, or how the VM and the guest OS is configured. If you expected mind readers, I must apologize but they're all out this week.
If you can provide a VM showing the problem as an OVA, we might actually get somewhere.

I'm still pretty sure no one will try to reproduce your problem. So you can either make it easy for others or just forget it.

Michaelweaser, it is very likely that almost no one has the particular OS and software you are running to be able to help. Thus MichalN's suggestion to post your guest as an OVA. Here's how:
In the Virtualbox GUI, go to File menu, Export Appliance. In the window that pops up, select your MSDOS/Windows3.1 guest that is having the issue, then save it as an .OVA file to an appropriate location on your host PC.
If you cannot upload the .OVA file as an attachment on the forum, upload it to a Dropbox-like file-sharing site, and post the link to the file here on the forum.

Re: Windows 3.1 crashes when win32s freecell is loaded.
you need to go to google drives main page to get it and than add this below to it
drive (dot) google (dot) com /file/d/0BwNQdPOLgm2ZdTNUNjlnRktxeWM/view?usp=sharing
that is the link to download the ova virtual machine, just go to the top with the down arrow and line to download
i had to figure out how to get around to do a link, you have to be a member for a full day.

How about a site that does not require you to sign up just to transfer a file?

Thanks for the VM, but I'm not seeing any crashes. What am I doing wrong?

I got your link & un-obfuscated it & downloaded. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwNQdP ... view?pli=1
When I tried to import I got this error:
Failed to import appliance C:\Users\Scott\Downloads\windows 3.1.ova.
Internal inconsistency looking up disk image 'vmdisk1'.

OK, MW, I got a running guest based on your OVA. I have a DOS command prompt, C:>_ no Windows 3.1
It's been a rreeeaaalllyy long time since I ran 3.1, what do I do now to get to the point where Freecell can be started?
