Hi everyone,

I'm french, I ask you in english to have lots of responses, I hope...

I have a problem with a virtual machine I created.

I have :
- CPU i5 4460
- GPU GTX 970 4Go
- RAM 8Go DDR3
- SSD 256 Go and HDD 640 Go

I tried to use this configuration for X-plane 10. It works on the real machine, but on the virtual machine, X-plane needs OpenGL 1.4 or better.

So I would like to update to a newer version of OpenGL but the GPU isn't recognized so nvidia doesn't download the driver.

Both of OS are Windows 10 64 bits.

I use : Version 5.0.8 r103449

I put this settings:
- 3072 Mo of RAM
- 128 Mo of VRAM

I already upgraded the guest additions .

Thank you in advance for your help

Destiny

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

According to the log you attached, they are not installed. The Guest Additions .iso is mounted, but apparently the installer was not run.

I just do it again. The iso starts, I run it , and then he asks to restart the computer , and so I reboot the VM ...

If X-Plane runs on your Windows 10 host, it may not run on a Windows guest. Not all graphics oriented programs will.

I'll see later today if I can get it working on a W10 guest.

You're welcome. Did you read in other forums that it runs in a VirtualBox VM? I just tried to install the demo and it won't install in my Windows 10 guest.
