VirtualBox Setup wizard ended prematurely

Hi,

I've been trying to install VirtualBox 5.0.4 as part of Xamarin Android Player. However mid way through the installation, the installer does a rollback and I get a message:

"Oracle VM VirtualBox 5.0.4 Setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again. Click the Finish button to exit the Setup Wizard."

When I click Finish, I get a pop up window:

"Installation failed! Error: Fatal error during installation."

I have tried installing VirtualBox 5.0.2 and 5.0.8 but get the same results. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem and how do I resolve it?

I got exactly the same on a Windows10 install.
