Hi,
Current Situation: After a failure of my computer I want to restore Windows 10 on VirtualBox 5.0.8 (r 103449) with VirtualBox Extension Pack 5.0.8 (r 103449)
Currently Windows 7 "factory" is installed on VMBox (and I am upgrading to Windows 10 "factory").
Here's the problem: I need access to my backup USB drive but I cannot see it in VirtualBox :
HDD / USB driver may not load ?? or HDD/USB unable to be captured by VirtualBox ??
Remarks:
1- USB wireless mouse works normally on host >> VirtualBox USB CONTROLER seems be working properly
2- HDD / USB works perfectly on the host system
3- USB key storage do not work on VirtualBox ( same problem as HDD/USB )
4- ( I ejected the USB drive on the host system to enable VirtualBox to capture it. )
Please, Please, Help me! ! ! ? ? Thank you
USB HDD not captured by VirtualBox

Re: USB HDD not captured by VirtualBox
If you want to access host files from a guest then you may find shared folders much easier to use than USB redirection. If you insist on using the latter then you need to install the Extension Pack.

Re: USB HDD not captured by VirtualBox
Sorry, but I don't regard assertions as evidence. Evidence would be a VM log file: with the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

Hi,
Situation has evolved since updates installation!..
Now USB storage keys are visibles by VirtualBox system : Windows10 installation files are availables and installation of Win10 should be possible for upgrade Win7 !
Seems problem is now resolved, Thank you mpack.
