Installing Lion 10.7 on Mavericks. Can't mount installer
I'm mounting the InstallESD.dmg from the offical 10.7 installer from the app store and a virtual CD/DVD. I tried the dmg and converted it to iso. All I get is the error "FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted." Any ideas?

Converting to ISO was not required, but if done then you have to do it the right way. So how did you do it?Mirrorworld wrote:I tried the dmg and converted it to iso.

Here's some screenshots. I just opened the packaged contents of "Install Mac OS X Lion.app" and pulled out "InstallESD.dmg". I then mounted the dmg to the cd/dvd and started up the VM.

SOLVED:
I had "Enable EFI (special OSes only)" unchecked under "System" because the guides said to do so. I guess this is only for installing on a Windows machine. The dmg and install worked after leaving it checked.
