can't map windows drive in linux

Post by gec5741 »

On my network I have a windows 2012 r2 Domain controller server setup. I also have other windows 8 pc clients that are in the domain. One of my windows 8 domain clients is the pc that I have virutalbox installed on. I setup a Linux mint 17.2 kde VM. Now I need to map a few drives within Linux. I am trying to do so though dolphoin. I can go into "Network", "Samba Shares" and see my domain and then see all windows clients. I can successfully authenticate in to all of them except the one I need to get into which just happens to be the VM Host machine that virtualbox is installed on. I get prompted for credentials but nothing works. I have rights to the directories in windows. This is driving me nuts! What am I missing and why is this the only pc's shares that I cannot access?

Any help would be appreciated!
