I'm getting an error: Fatal: No bootable medium found! System halted.

Host Win7
Vbox Win7 I tried to add the log but this forum has a maximum of 3 attachments.

I believe the error is telling me the VBoxGuestAdditions can't load. I believe the VBoxGuestAdditions is in the correct dir and should load.

What do I need to change to get by this Fatal error?

"Fatal: No bootable medium found!" means all the available disks and CDs and ISOs attached to the machine have been looked at and there are no bootable OS's found.

The Guest Additions ISO is just a program installation disk and is not bootable.

FWIW I look in my .Virtualbox folder and see no GuestAdditions.iso. That file defaults to be in "C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox".

Is it looking for the Win7.vdi
or the Win7 Install ISO file?

The guest does not know that a Win 7 install ISO exists, because the guest CD drive is pointing at the Guest Additions ISO. If you want to launch the Win 7 install ISO, mount it in the guest's CD drive. Assuming the install ISO is a complete bootable ISO, the guest will start and go to the Windows 7 installer.

Your guest's boot order is floppy, CD, Hard disk. Since you have no floppy drive in the guest drives, the guest first looks at the contents of the CD drive, at this time the guest additions ISO. This ISO is not bootable. Next it looks at the Win7.vdi. If there was a bootable guest installed in the vdi it would boot off the vdi. Since you are getting the no bootable medium error, this means the Win7.vdi doesn't have a bootable OS on it, or the contents of the vdi have been damaged so as to not be bootable.
