1600x1200 resolution limit problem

Hello

I Installed Version 5.0.8 r103449 and the corresponding extension pack ...
The installation is on a Dell M6800 Notebook with Intel HD Graphics 4600 and NVidea Quadro K3100 M card in the Notebook.
After the installation, I configured Win10 x32 and Win10 x64 and even an WinXP x32 each one in a virtual machine , each of these VM limits the screen resolution to 1600x1200 ?
My Notebook internal Monitor is 1920x1080 and the external Monitor which is attached to the Notebook through a DisplayPort Connection is 2560x1600 (Dell U3011)

So why is the virtual machine limited to 1600x1200 ?

Any suggestions ?

Thanks for some ideas and best regards

Max

The extension pack has nothing to do with guest graphics. You need to install the Guest Additions, in the guest - I notice that you don't mention doing so. Beyond that, make sure that in VirtualBox preferences, you have Display|"Maximum Guest Screen Size" set to "Automatic". You can also try "None".

If you still have problems then post a VM log file: with the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip, then attach the zip here.
