Windows 7 Host no USB

Post by ov10fac »

I have installed VBox on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit system. I have set Virtualization on (Optiplex 960). I used disk2bhd to create a virtual drive for an old XP machine I have to run in a Virtual Machine. Everything seems fine but when I start the VBox everything locks up. No USB device is detected and the keyboard and mouse become non-responsive completely. All I get is the Windows XP screen asking to boot normally or in safe mode (the old machine was shutdown improperly). I have to use the power button to shut things down. Windows 7 says its waiting VBox which is paused.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

John
