Problem fixed.
This doesn't effect the guest OS itself, but it effects that I have to close the Virtual Machine through CTRL+ALT+DEL and open task manager and use the tab keys to close the Virtual Machine. It was fine before I accidentally pressed "headless start" where it stopped my mouse from working in the host OS. I have reinstalled the VirtualBox software and that didn't help. I have also deleted all the files for my virtual machine and retrieved them again. Nothing seems to be working.
I used a "Windows XP SP3" Disk Image File and running Windows XP 32-bit.
All settings are valid and the system boots up properly, it just disables my mouse in the host PC.
I have Windows 10 64-bit, just in case this might change things.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like you have created a filter ( USB ) and it is capturing the mouse. The keyboard and mouse is a shared resource and can not have a filter assigned to them. On Windows hosts even a blank filter can cause this.

Oh right I see now. I unchecked the box and it turned off the filter and now the mouse no longer cuts off.
