Windows 10 guest no network

I'm running Windows 7 x64 Pro, I have VirtualBox 5.08 installed and my 2008R2 and Windows 8 clients are still fine. I tried to set up Windows 10 this morning and have no driver for the NIC. I tried VBoxWindowsAdditions-amd64 /extract /D=C:\Drivers but there's nothing useful in there it says.

Where can I get a driver for the virtual network card in the guest OS? (PCI VEN 1022 DEV 2000)

Good morning, Hex!

If you don't have a built-in driver for the NIC the Guest Windows 10 is seeing, it likely means you somehow changed the NIC type from the default to something else. Or perhaps you didn't use the Windows 10 guest template.

Start a new Windows 10 guest. Don't make a virtual disk for it or install Windows 10 on it, because you aren't going to keep this new guest. You're just going to find out what the Windows 10 guest template chooses for the default NIC. Once the guest has been made, see what NIC type is used, then make sure your old Windows 10 guest is set same as the new guest's NIC type. Try running your old guest and see if Windows 10 finds the NIC. While the old guest is running, delete the new guest.

Perfect.

You were right, somehow I had changed the adapter type (I do remember poking around a bit... ) and as soon as I matched it to the template it worked.

Thanks for your help.
