W& has internet XP doesn't - same settings!

Hi everyone

I have installed VirtualBox on Windows 10 and have installed licenced versions of both Windows XP and Windows 7

Both W7 and XP appear to have the same network settings but only W7 connects to the internet, XP won't.

Attached to - Bridged Adaptor
Name - Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Adaptor type - Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)
Promiscuous Mode - Allow All
MAC Address - 08002790635
Cable-connected

The W7 settings are the same except the MAC address is different (080027ADAC61)

I am very new to VirtualBox having spent all day yesterday installing and working it out (!)
Initially XP did connect but stopped when W7 was installed

I would be really grateful for any guidance.

If XP worked before you changed the virtual adaptor after this...
Set the virtual adaptor of the XP VM back to the AMD PCnet type it had before. XP doesn't have builtin support for the Intel PRO/1000.
