I've setup the vm to use for windows 10. After I start the app & windows is running - I get a error message: Fatal no bootable image format system haltered, How do I correct this to get windows to run correct?

Why did you post this in "OS X Guests"? Moving it to "Using VirtualBox".
I suggest that you read the first few chapters of the user manual. You need an installer CD/DVD (or ISO image of same) to install an Operating System - do you have one?
