I want to update to Windows 10 on this virtual machine. I have the "Get Windows 10" icon showing in the task bar. When I click it, I get a message that "This PC can't run Windows 10". "Here's why Windows 10 can't be installed on this PC: VirtualBox Graphic Adapter. The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10."
The first time I tried to install I got that message. Then I went to http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-get-virt ... ild-10041/ and saw that for a clean install of Windows 10 in a new VM, the author said one needs to click the boxes for "Extended Features: 3D Acceleration" and "Extended Features: 2D Video Acceleration". So I shut down the VM, went to Settings > Display and checkmarked them. I rebooted the VM and tried again to "Get Windows 10" with the same result.
I don't want to install in a clean VM simply because I have a Win7 OEM license for this machine, and with the update to Win10 it'll just transfer over.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Edit: I failed to mention I'm using VB 5.0.0 (r101573). I see now that a newer version is out, but somehow I doubt that will help, but I'll try it.
