Hi everybody,

If I am here it is because I have a big problem. I use Oracle VirtualBox 5.0.8 and for months I had no problem.
But two days ago I had to format my SSD and to install again Windows 7 (maybe a virus or something like that).

Since this day, it is impossible to install the file .ova that my teacher gave to me; it is a big file of 11 gigas with inside Oracle 11g and Solaris.
I have VirtualBox installed but if I import the .ova file I have these problems :
1) the counter is blocked on 3%, even after 30 minutes
2) the time showed to install the file increase too much : 1 hour, 2 hours ... 5 hours
3) on my PC, I can see a file growing : 100 mega and, at last, 3 gigas so something is happening
4) after 30 minutes with the counter on 3% I prefer to stop installation because there is a problem
5) impossible to stop the program, even with the task manager, I have to close the session
6) I open a new session or I restart my computer BUT my hard drive is unknown in the windows explorer --> I have to take it out from my PC and to put it in to see it again

Well, I don't know what to do, if you can help me, thank you VERY VERY much for your help

VirtualBox 5.0.8 came out 4 days ago so it would be most unusual that you've been using it for months.

A 11GB .ova would take time to import so you might want to give it more time. The time shown doesn't mean much. It can and will jump back down.

OK, I am trying again and, after 50 minutes there is the message "2% time remaining one day and 6 hours".
And the worst it is that I can not access my second hard drive on which I want to install my virtual box

It seems something is wrong. Perhaps with the .ova itself. It certainly doesn't seem it should be taking longer the second time than it did the first time.

First time it was at 3% after 30 mins.
This time 2% after 50 mins.

Well, I am sick of it, I prefer to surrender. After one hour I had the same problem and always this sick problem with my hard drive...
I had less problem with VMware Workstation because the import was OK but impossible to load my .ova, there was an error message with a boot or mount problem... but I never use before the VMware Workstation so I don't want to solve this problem now.

But, to be clear, I used this .ova since 10 months and I had no problem with it. It is this f*****g problem with windows (I had to reinstall it) that was the beginning of all this trouble
