problems to look files inside desktop with VBox machine

Hello,
I would like to know why can't I look all the files in desktop qiime? I open VBox with qiime (version 9.0) and all devices (VBOXADDITIONS) are installated correctly, and also, I made permanent the Shared?Folder with the data of my PC. I use linux and ubuntu 4.5.4 version to config the vbox machine (but I have windows8 in my computer). Then, when I restart the Vbox machine and I open again, appear one message in the first step before to open,that say: hard disk /tmp not ready yet or no present. After, the message disappear, only it is some seconds, and VBox is open but the files in desktop not appear.
What is the problem?What happen with htmp? I don't understand where is this hard disk.
