No second NIC visible in 5.0.8, working in 5.0.2

As a follow up to the conversation in the thread below, Virtual Box 5.0.4, 0.6, and now 0.8 do not allow me to use a second PCI / E Intel dual port NIC. This worked fine in 5.0.2. (I'd like to upgrade the base OS to Win 10, so I'm waiting for this feature to work).
To recap - with 5.0.2, I can see & use a second NIC which happens to be an Intel Proset dual port NIC. This adapter works fine in Windows 7 64 bit every day, and was visible and usable in vbox 5.0.2. For 0.4 and 0.6, I did try the workaround suggested in the thread. For each version I did use the command line switch "-msiparams NETWORKTYPE=NDIS5".
Same results with and without the command line switch - no second intel NIC shows up.
Attached to this ticket are the logs from the various tabs in the log viewer.
