It finally works, i skimmed past the part to restart for uninstall, but the reinstall works and USB devices show up. Sorry for wasting your time man, I kinda didn't want to do this because I wanted to try and figure it out. I don't know if this is a bug when updating from a previous version, but uninstall then reinstalling it with the updated version worked.
