virtual switch

Post by macro »

I am running the latest versions of Virtualbox on a Windows 10 pro host with Linux guests. I would like to find a way of connecting the Linux guests into a subnet on my LAN, such that I can use one of the Linux guests connected to the others as well as to the Internet with the gateway of this subnet configured to be accessible only through one of the Linux guests, through which the other Linux guests would have access to Internet and the other guests. I think it would work if I had a virtual switch, but I have not seen something like this available with Virtualbox. Is there a way to do it? Thanks.

Don't know if you found a solution for this yet but you can look into either Open vSwitch or Open Switch as they are software based network OS's that can be setup as VM.
