Copy / Paste doesn't work

Hello,

I can't copy from either my host to my VM, or vice versa.

I'm running VirtualBox 5.0.6. My host and VM are both Windows 7 Professional. I've installed the Guest Additions (and I've rebooted both the VM and host since). The Shared Clipboard is set to Bidirectional.

If I copy a file in the host, I can't paste it in the VM (if I right click I can see the Paste option is grayed out). The inverse is also true, if I copy a file in the VM, I can't paste it in the host (C-v does nothing, and right-clicking shows the Paste option is grayed out).

I can however drag'n'drop files from the host to the VM without issue (I haven't tried the inverse of this).

I'm logged into both the host and VM with an administrator account, and UAC is disabled.

Any thoughts on this behavior?

Copy and paste of files has never been supported. This feature is not related to drag and drop, since the latter doesn't involve a clipboard.

The only thing you can copy and paste is "live" text and images. Note: not the same as files containing text and images.

Do they plan to support copying/pasting of files? Virtual PC supports it, but I prefer the configurability of VirtualBox.

Also, I can drag'n'drop files between the host and guess, but not between the host and remote desktops on the guest. At work we run a VM to make our VPN connections to customers so that our local machines don't lose locally-routed network access.

These are user forums, so you know as much about dev future plans as I do.

Unless of course the company has let known some of their future plans, which you may have read but I haven't. I know in the gaming world it's fairly common for companies to give hints and insights into future features.

My previous post was a statement of fact, it was not rhetorical.

Even if someone knew they could not post the information anyway.
