Maybe this is on another post but I cant seem to find an answer to my problem. I am trying to run an ISO utility on a VM. DBAN or Darik's Boot and Nuke. When I initially set it up I was able to connect to an external (swappable) USB 3 hard drive. I was able to use the utility to wipe the drive. I shut down the VM and swapped the HD. When I restarted the VM it would not find the USB Hard drive. I put the old drive back it an tried that but no luck. I was able to connect to a drive one other time but that was when I changed the filter REMOTE setting. But once again when I shut down and restarted it would no longer find the drive. I have opened Disk management and Device manager while running Virtual Box. When the Pluggable USB drive is listed and I start the DBAN guest I can see VBox take the drive from the host, but it is not found by the guest. When I shut the guest down sometimes the drive is reconnected to the WIN 10 host and sometimes it is not until the system is restarted.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Problems with USB on WIN 10 host
It's usually much easier to access a host drive as a shared folder.
