Laptop vs Desktop. One works, the other has issues

Hi there,
I'm using VirtualBox atm for tafe studies virtualizing Windows Server 2008 R2 and I'm running into issues where given everything equal, same version of VirtualBox and running the exact same configurations in Windows Server, that my desktop completes what is needed to do but my laptop suffers and has what seems connection issues between the two Windows servers. Eg DHCP works on my desktop but even though configured on my laptop fails to work properly.

Also had prior issues of server time sync issues even though we re-synced the clocks and were on fresh installs of Server 08.

Appreciate any help thanks.

I'm afraid that "issues" doesn't give us much to base a diagnosis on. You could start by giving us a VM log file, and describing the network modes on the PC you are unhappy with.

Providing a VM log file: with the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Well it doesn't come up with any errors, the functions just don't work. My current issue is one server picking up the other so it gains DHCP / DNS. Prior to this had time sync issues between the two servers, yet when installed and configured exactly the same but on my desktop, it works.

I know rather vague, but there aren't any error's given, it just doesn't work.

Why have you provided two log files? Which one is the log that I asked for?

I figured I'd show you both. In case you asked to see the other one too?
