Bridged networking only with bound ipv4?

Post by dataKEKS »

Hey Forum!

After upgrade to Version 5.x we have on several Systems the same problem: for bridged networking only adapters with bound ipv4 are availble. Under Virtualbox 4 it was no problem to select adapters that have no ipv4 bound. We also checked it under Win8.1 and Win10, the Problem is always the same. Going back to Version 4.x and everything works as usual.

Is this a bug in v5 or is it a handling failure?

Best regards
Norbert

See Ticket #14578 for details on the same bug.

It seems that some posts of the following topic are connected with this issue: No bridged mode with 5.0.4 on Windows 7.

It's also interesting to compare this issue with the following one: Two VM - Network of one them fails randomly.
