Unable to mount Shared File - CentOS7 Guest

Hi, it is possible that I am missing something obvious here, but I am struggling to mount a shared folder in VBox while running CentOS 7 Guest.

[root@dashboard1 dev]# mount -t vboxsf dashboardProj ~/share/
mount: unknown filesystem type 'vboxsf'

I see that it does not recognize the type vboxsf, so I installed Guest Additions through the following commands:

yum install kernel-devel
yum install gcc*
yum install epel-release

I'm very new to both CentOS and VBox, so be gentle and I appreciate all help here. 8)

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

The file is truncated or not finished. Either way it does not show that you have installed the guest additions. Make sure you do or shared folders will not work.

What is the best way to go about doing that?

I can't tell as this log is also truncated and not showing the complete boot process.

But here is a link on how to install the guest additions This should help Howto: Install Linux Guest Additions

Thank you so much! It does not explain the prerequisite installations for RedHat distros however, like CentOS. Any idea if one of the others would work?

Redhat Centos and Fedora are all the same in that regards.
Use the Fedora example.
