Trying virtualize partition, VERR_ACCESS_DENIED

Hey,

I was googling around I found out that you can virtualize a physical partition. Which seemed great for me as I don't use ubuntu that often. Anyway I followed a guide on lifehacker *, but when running the VM it pauses automatically after 30-60 seconds or so.

So I looked at the log files and they gave this repeating error: 'The I/O cache encountered an error while updating data in medium "ahci-0-0" (rc=VERR_ACCESS_DENIED). Make sure there is enough free space on the disk and that the disk is working properly. Operation can be resumed afterwards'
I found this thread about it: /viewtopic.php?f=6&t=38914 *

But I got a problem applying it.. When trying to offline the disk I get something like: 'The properties of startup disk can't be changed' (it's roughly translated from Dutch). Ignoring this message and entering 'attributes disk clear readonly'. I receive: 'DiskPart failed to clear disk attributes.'

Is there something I can do about this? I thought maybe removing the readonly flag from inside Ubuntu but it can't seem to find how?

Regards
