My setup consists of Windows 7 running as Guest OS in virtualbox on Mac OS. The main disk C: is defined as Dynamic Disk VMDK of size 60GB. As of now the C: drive property shows the capacity as 39.9 GB of which 2.69 GB is free and macwin-disk1.vmdk size shows as 42.9 GB. If I try to add contents of more 3 GB to this drive, it pops error message as follows
There is not enough space on Local Disk. You need additional 5.08 GB to copy these files.
Local Disk
Space free: 2.69 GB
Total Size: 39.9 GB
VirtualBox version is 4.3.30
Please let me know how can I have full disk capacity of 60GB defined for this disk?
Regards,
Ashish

Re: Dynamic vmdk disk does not grow to max size.
you say your local disk has 2.69GB free. Why would you think you could put 3GB on it?
