Hi

I previously made a fixed size Win XP for use on my iMac. I now need to use the image again for a windows program but I need more space on the image. VirtualBox is installed fine on my iMac at latest version, WinXP works, but I need more space. I know its fixed, but can I close it and then resize it as a non fixed?

I really don't want to go through a a new image, just need more space. I've searched and tried a few things via "terminal" but still haven't managed

thanks

Thanks I did the "VBoxManage cloned" but although it cloned and made the image it won't open in VirtualBox? I'm using v5 on my iMac if that makes a difference?

I assume that means you got an error when you attempt to attach the clone hd to a VM. Please be precise when reporting error messages.

Sorry..

No the process in Terminal on my Mac went to 100%, the file was made, but it downs show up in the list of images in VirtualBox. The original in Finder has an icon, this doesn't either. I've tried to open manually the new image but wouldn't either.

**edit

did it again, this time named the output file to clone.vdi and it cloned. But now how do I get VirtualBox to open this clone please? Sorry pretty new to this

create a new XP guest with the same settings but instead of creating a new .vdi, choose "existing disk" and attach the clone.vdi to it. Or you can unmount the original .vdi and attach the clone.vdi.

Appreciate your help. thanks I was trying to import it, its now added and showing, and I've loaded it. Its states in settings that its now dynamic sized to. I've copied over what I need but it then runs out of space, do I have to manually add space first? How?

thanks
