Screen resolution and USB 2.0 epic fail

Post by P_Pencil »

Host: OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite
Guest: Win7 professional
VB: 5.0.6
Extension pack 5.0.6
Have installed Virtual Box Guest additions

1. My Mac is connected to a 46" Samsung LED. I cannot, for the life of me, change the resolution from 4:3 to 16:9. I've read the forums, and have searched the manual, to no avail. Advice please
2. The guest will not recognize a simple USB 2.0 thumb drive. When I go to Devices -> USB -> USB Settings... the boxes for Enable USB Controller and USB 1.1 (OHCI) controller are checked and can't be un-checked. It's not possible to check USB 2.0 (EHCI) controller. The box with the filters finds and recognizes the thumb drive, so I've made a filter for Corsair Flash Voyager [1100].

Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you get your issues resolved? Sometimes posts slip through the cracks.

The second part of your question: USB settings can't be changed while the guest is open or in a Saved State.
