Does VirtualBox affects my internet connection?

i just want to know does it affects my network?
im gonna install virtualbox then i saw a warning that it will temporarily disconnects my internet connection

does it affects it?

When you install VirtualBox, the network is temporarily interrupted because VirtualBox has to make changes to the network device driver so that the vm can use the NIC as well as the host. It should not affect how the host uses the network (although in a few rare cases it does).

The only effect on the host Internet connection is that it has to share it with the guest. It will certainly slow down if you try to do big downloads on both host and guest.
